Hôtel Renaissance

Between industrial history and lifestyle design

Address

16 rue Gironde

33300 Bordeaux

Type

Hôtel, Bar, Restaurant

Installed in the historic district of the former Bordeaux docks, the Renaissance hotel rises in a site with a powerful industrial past, amidst urban renewal. Staying at the Renaissance Bordeaux hotel is a unique experience, from entering the former grain silos to the rooftop offering a restaurant, bar, and pool, and from which a unique vision of the city of Bordeaux unfolds.

Eager to blend into its natural environment, this avant-garde 4-star establishment wanted to offer a unique atmosphere combining industrial identity, French art of living, and regional wine heritage.

From the journey through the silos to the rooms, the industrial past of the place is highlighted, repurposed, and magnified: raw concrete is adorned with golden frescoes, becoming a noble material. The use of wood, velvet, and leather adds a warm and welcoming dimension to the space.

Artistic interventions punctuate the customer's journey: light installation in the silos, murals, and artworks in the rooms. Each space surprises and invites the customer to make the space their own. The bar, inspired by the cabins of the Arcachon Bay, and the Italian bistronomic restaurant, featuring a central bar topped with a delicate paper light installation, complete this unique experience between the City of Wine and the shimmering waters of the Garonne.
